What else should I know?

When am I paid?

Monthly, net 30. Each commission sits on a 30-day hold first — that covers refunds and chargebacks. After the hold it joins your next monthly payout. If your balance is under $50 it rolls forward to the following month.

What if they cancel?

Your commission stops when their account stops paying. You keep everything already paid out. If we refund one of their payments, that commission is clawed back.

What counts as a referral?

A business that reaches us through your link, signs up, and pays. It doesn’t count if it’s your own account, if they’re already a Handshake customer, or if they were already in our pipeline before you sent them.

How do I get paid?

You set up payout details in the partner dashboard when you join. Payouts run monthly, net 30, to the account you put on file. Every referral and what it has earned is visible in the dashboard.

Is this taxable?

Yes — commission is income and you’re responsible for the tax on it. In the US we collect a W-9 and issue a 1099 if you clear the reporting threshold. We can’t give tax advice, so check with your accountant.

What’s the fine print?

Commission is paid on cash collected.
Commission runs 12 months per referred account from that account's first payment.
Commission stops when the referred account cancels.
Refunded payments are clawed back.
There is a 30-day hold before a commission becomes payable.
Paid monthly, net 30.
$50 minimum payout threshold. Balances below that roll forward to the next month.
Self-referrals, existing Handshake customers, and accounts already in our pipeline do not qualify.
We may end or change the program with 30 days notice to active partners.
