Handshake Labs, Inc. (“Handshake,” “we,” “us”) operates Julia, an AI executive assistant for small businesses delivered via SMS and iMessage. This policy describes how we handle information when you use Julia.
Information we collect
- Account and contact: phone number, name, business details you provide during onboarding.
- Messages: text messages you send to and receive from Julia.
- Connected services (optional): if you connect Google, we access read-only Gmail and Calendar data solely to answer your requests. We do not send email on your behalf.
- Usage: token usage and service logs for reliability and billing.
How we use information
We use your information to operate Julia (answering calls, responding to leads, scheduling, drafting replies), improve the service, and provide support. We do not sell your personal information.
Google user data
Julia’s use of Google API data complies with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including Limited Use requirements. Gmail and Calendar data is used only to provide features you request and is not used for advertising.
Retention and deletion
You may disconnect Google at any time from your connect hub. You may request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us.
